From Saturday, the Tyrolean community of Mayrhofen can only be left with a negative corona test. In addition, schools and retailers will be closed until Wednesday.

Due to the spread of the South African mutant, the Tyrolean community of Mayrhofen in the rear of the Zillertal may only be left with a negative corona test that is not older than 72 hours from Saturday to Wednesday.

Most recently, 17 suspected cases of the South African virus mutation occurred in Mayrhofen. Two of the suspected cases in South Africa occurred in kindergarten and middle school, respectively. As of Wednesday morning, 42 people in the community had positive test results.
